Rice Factory to be opened in Kyaiklat

   A value-added production factory of rice and rice products is slated to be opened on 2nd March by the Myanmar Agribusiness Public Corporation (MAPCO) in a bid to minimise the wastage from farms to mills.

   A parboiling machine made by the Induss company from India, which can produce 200 tonnes a day,and Yong Xiang's Satake rice milling machine, which can produce 250 tonnes a day, have been ordered.Additionally,two 15-tonne-dryers and two 17-tonne-dryers were ordered from Korea.

  The Construction of this factory is complete, developed by MAPCO E & C Co.,Ltd. The factory will be opened on Peasant's Day (March 2), said U Thaung Win from MAPCO. This factory aims at enhancing Myanmar's rice business.To build this factory in Kyaiklat Township, the Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC) approved on 5th September 2014 a project capital of Ks 8,963.9 million, it is learnt.
